Weak Yuan

It is quite irresponsible on the part of China to keep Yuan weak and have an unfair advantage in the world market. With a weak Yuan, China is able to sell its commodities at throw away prices in the international market. It is affecting the demand for local producers of the world economies. It is also affecting the exports of other developing countries, making them handicapped in the international market and having comparative advantage. But this is what the powerful world economies have been doing when they are involved in their vested interest rather than the interests of the world economies. Even the US which boast off itself a savior of world economies its Federal Reserve is planning to go for printing more money to monetize its growing debts. There have been the protests of this likely move of US all over the world. This move will increase money supply in its economy or it will decrease the value of dollar which will enable us producers to sell their goods in international m...

G20 and Obama

US President Barack Obama expected G20 nations to discuss the modalities for balanced and sustained economic growth. His visit to Asian countries is a testimony to the fact that these nations are a great buyers of US goods and services and recovery of its economy. A balanced growth will be achieved when developed nations do away with the mindset of vested interest and go for equality in terms of lifting down all the hurdles for free flow of goods and services across the nations of the world.

Solutions for youth problems

School and community have to play a vital role in overcoming the behavioral problems present among our teens in today’s scenario. School must have a professional educational counselor which is able to get on the root cause of the problems and offer corrective steps. Problematic teens have to be counseled individually by educational counselor in the school or by family members. Parents counseling in the field of conditioning of teens like listening to teens ideas and welcome their opinion and if there is a problem with their viewpoints suggest corrective measures what is right or wrong can also be effective. Teaching the teens about moral and ethical behavior which can be imparted only by giving religious talks and narrating the religious stories based on moral values.

Problems of today’s youth

It is quite depressing to see that present day’s youth are engulfed with umpteen behavioral problems like stealing, fighting, bullying, teasing, being disobedient and getting involved in watching pornographic videos and movies and sharing the same through modern day’s electronic gadgets. There have been number of factors responsible for this sorry behavior of our youths. Firstly, due to advancement of technology everything is in the reach of our youths without any censorship from elders, society and government. Secondly, both the parents have been involved in economic activities in the madness of accumulating wealth and thus spending less time with kids. They are unable to understand the problems of their own kids and put forward the solutions. Even if they are back from offices they are glued to satellite television or internet hardly spending any time for building a healthy and caring relationship between parents and kids. Even if there is any discussion on the dining table both of...

Israeli Attack on Flotilla

The fall out of the recent Israeli attack on Flotilla has come in the form of mounting pressure on it from all over the world be it nations or international organizations. Stopping the aid ship and killing the innocent peace activists is a cruel and inhuman act of this Zionist state. The world community has to aggravate its firm stand against Israel injustice and atrocities meted out to Gaza and Palestinians.

Naxalism a threat to India

On 16th May 2010 there is another deadliest Naxalist attack in Dantewada where more than 40 were killed including cops. Naxalism has been troubling Indian government for over four decades killing more than 10,000 people. The gravity of the problem can be understood where 16 out of 28 states are baffling with local terrorism. Majority of them are the poorer states. In fact Indian prime minister called this a major threat to country’s security. The reasons for uprising insurgency is the process of economic liberalization of the government where the rights of underprivileged, untouchables and marginalized people have been violated by taking land from them in the name of development by transnational corporations and industrialist ,the trials whom land pieces of land were taken still deprived for the rehabilitation. Grinding poverty is the root cause for new incumbent to join naxalism. Bahukutumbi Raman, a former head of the counter-terrorism division of India's external intelligence a...

Saudization

There was a report in one of the leading newspapers of Saudi Arabia that 87% of employees in private sector are expatriates, now the question arises why private sector is attracted to foreign manpower? The reason is obvious foreign workers have been able to do all kinds of jobs but Saudi youths are reluctant to do jobs but selective ones and moreover they lack the professionalism they consider it low on the one hand lack attitude and refuse to put in their cent percent efforts and able to reduce the cost to firms and thus firms are able to earn more profits. Saudi being a wealthy economy is unable to control unemployment rate among its youth despite of government policy of Saudization. There seemed to be a mismatch between skills supplied versus skills required. Lack of work ethics and skills among Saudi youth is another cause for rising unemployment. The Saudi government is quite determined to reverse the situation by allocating a lion’s share of the current budget on education. Thi...

Kingdom to go Nuclear for meeting energy need

King Abdullah orders to build nuclear city as an alternative source of energy is a step in the right direction for meeting its rising energy requirements as kingdom’s population is increasing rapidly. This step would help kingdom to generate electricity economically and helped the rapid growth of industrialization and put the nation on the list of using eco friendly source of energy. Most of the countries of the world are looking forward to use Nuclear energy as cost effective source of generating electricity. At present nuclear energy supplies 15% of the world’s electricity. Since kingdom is a rich nation so it can afford to go for this environment friendly energy over the conventional sources of energy which responsible for increasing environmental problem.

SAARC SUMMIT 2010

It has been almost 25 years that SAARC trade block was established by seven founding members namely Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Maldives, Nepal, Pakistan, and Srilanka. Now the strengths of member countries rose to eight by entry of Afghanis in 14th summit. Bhutan is having the privilege to host it first time. The block have has been formed to promote economic growth and welfare of the people and the other areas of regional cooperation among member nations. SAARC as a block has been a failure despite constituting population of more than billion as in other parts of the world regional cooperation in the forms of trade blocks have been one of the fastest way of developing the regions The major obstacle is rollercoaster relationship between India and Pakistan which led to unable to achieve the objective of South Asian Free Trade area (SAFTA).The trust of the government of the member nations among each other have not been good. The member states have to understand how India one of the fast...

Ban IPL

As developments unfolding who else is involved in gambling in the name of cricket which is known as gentlemen’s game. I really don’t understand why people are so obsessed with cricket up to the extent that they don’t have any other issues to discuss which is baffling the nation and society as a whole. I wonder when I see how come the best talent in our country in other sports has been neglected because of too much money involved in cricket. Our national game Hockey has been crying for financial resources and our government and rich industrialists are busy with enjoying and making money and increasing the gulf between haves and have not’s. Even the players of other budding nations have been rushing to India for earning good amount of money. And the saddest part is media both television and print is woven by mass cricket hysteria. Cricket players have been used as brand ambassadors without knowing whether they are masses’ ideal or not? The major drawback of such cricket hysteria is when...

Inflation in India

The common people life in India has been hit hurt by the skyrocketing prices of food products. The problem is due to excess demand for goods and services from all sectors, which results in shortage of goods and services which further results in high prices.Food inflation is at peak around 20% making people difficult to buy goods like vegetables, sugar, milk, oil and cost of living in big cities too rising which is miserable for the newly accomodated migrants from far off downtown. Opposition parties have been performing their duties by building up the pressure on the central government which is led by great economist but how come he is unable to bring thr prices southwards? The opposition parties also stir a mass rally against the failure of government in controlling price. The government is promising to increase the supply of goods and services and it is expecting that coming mansoon will help to increase the supply and ease off the rise. A couple of days back RBI decreased the CRR and ha...

CBSE INTERNATIONAL CURRICULUM

It is great news that Indian schools in Gulf are opting for International curriculum of CBSE which is supposed to be at par with International Baccalaureate (IB) curriculum. Initially, the curriculum is designed only for Indians abroad. In fact it was the long awaited needs of the Indian diasporas that there should be an Indian international curriculum for the students along with Indian curriculum to suit the global needs. This curriculum is even open for any private party of any nationality to go for Indian International curriculum. As the demand for Indian professionals in different fields has been rising at an alarming rate across the world, so setting up international curriculum will made our students competitive enough to meet the global demands of quality products. Initially it will be started from class I to IX from the next academic session. All those schools which are going to opt for International curriculum have to ensure that they are able to recruit the best trained teache...

CBSE NEW EVALUATION SYSTEM

I believe the apprehensions of parents about the new CBSE evaluation is not correct because the new system is aiming to look for overall development of child based on scholastic and non scholastic areas. In fact the new system will do away the stress and pressure both on students and parents which hampers the development of children. The school has to change the mentality of teaching grade one student in such a way that he can be prepared for writing X board examination. Evaluating the children learning merely based on 3 hours examination has been limiting the very aim of education. Educationists are of the opinion that school board examinations are largely inappropriate for the knowledge society of the 21st century, it also led to rote learning and failed to test reasoning and analyzing skills of the children. Now the children assessment criteria are going to be quite comprehensive where all aspects of their learning would be taken care off. If a student is not performing well in acad...
