CBSE NEW EVALUATION SYSTEM

I believe the apprehensions of parents about the new CBSE evaluation is not correct because the new system is aiming to look for overall development of child based on scholastic and non scholastic areas. In fact the new system will do away the stress and pressure both on students and parents which hampers the development of children. The school has to change the mentality of teaching grade one student in such a way that he can be prepared for writing X board examination.
Evaluating the children learning merely based on 3 hours examination has been limiting the very aim of education.
Educationists are of the opinion that school board examinations are largely inappropriate for the knowledge society of the 21st century, it also led to rote learning and failed to test reasoning and analyzing skills of the children. Now the children assessment criteria are going to be quite comprehensive where all aspects of their learning would be taken care off. If a student is not performing well in academics or scholastic and performing excellent in sports then his overall grade due to excellence in sports will be hiked.
Under the new system the children will also be evaluated on the lines of moral values as there is an erosion of moral values among our children. This new system already been followed by most of the advanced countries of the world where the assessment is not merely on 3 hours examination but other important areas as well.
It actually depends on the schools in the gulf how to create awareness about the new system among the parents, and try their level best to make it possible practically. For the effective implementation of CCE, it is necessary that schools hire the trained and effective teachers who can apply the new system in Toto.
