It has been almost 25 years that SAARC trade block was established by seven founding members namely Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Maldives, Nepal, Pakistan, and Srilanka. Now the strengths of member countries rose to eight by entry of Afghanis in 14th summit. Bhutan is having the privilege to host it first time. The block have has been formed to promote economic growth and welfare of the people and the other areas of regional cooperation among member nations. SAARC as a block has been a failure despite constituting population of more than billion as in other parts of the world regional cooperation in the forms of trade blocks have been one of the fastest way of developing the regions The major obstacle is rollercoaster relationship between India and Pakistan which led to unable to achieve the objective of South Asian Free Trade area (SAFTA).The trust of the government of the member nations among each other have not been good. Ban IPL

As developments unfolding who else is involved in gambling in the name of cricket which is known as gentlemen’s game. I really don’t understand why people are so obsessed with cricket up to the extent that they don’t have any other issues to discuss which is baffling the nation and society as a whole. I wonder when I see how come the best talent in our country in other sports has been neglected because of too much money involved in cricket. Our national game Hockey has been crying for financial resources and our government and rich industrialists are busy with enjoying and making money and increasing the gulf between haves and have not’s. Even the players of other budding nations have been rushing to India for earning good amount of money. And the saddest part is media both television and print is woven by mass cricket hysteria. Cricket players have been used as brand ambassadors without knowing whether they are masses’ ideal or not? The major drawback of such cricket hysteria is when...

Inflation in India

The common people life in India has been hit hurt by the skyrocketing prices of food products. The problem is due to excess demand for goods and services from all sectors, which results in shortage of goods and services which further results in high prices.Food inflation is at peak around 20% making people difficult to buy goods like vegetables, sugar, milk, oil and cost of living in big cities too rising which is miserable for the newly accomodated migrants from far off downtown. Opposition parties have been performing their duties by building up the pressure on the central government which is led by great economist but how come he is unable to bring thr prices southwards? The opposition parties also stir a mass rally against the failure of government in controlling price. The government is promising to increase the supply of goods and services and it is expecting that coming mansoon will help to increase the supply and ease off the rise. A couple of days back RBI decreased the CRR and ha...

It is great news that Indian schools in Gulf are opting for International curriculum of CBSE which is supposed to be at par with International Baccalaureate (IB) curriculum. Initially, the curriculum is designed only for Indians abroad. In fact it was the long awaited needs of the Indian diasporas that there should be an Indian international curriculum for the students along with Indian curriculum to suit the global needs. This curriculum is even open for any private party of any nationality to go for Indian International curriculum. As the demand for Indian professionals in different fields has been rising at an alarming rate across the world, so setting up international curriculum will made our students competitive enough to meet the global demands of quality products. All those schools which are going to opt for International curriculum have to ensure that they are able to recruit the best trained teache...

CBSE NEW EVALUATION SYSTEM

I believe the apprehensions of parents about the new CBSE evaluation is not correct because the new system is aiming to look for overall development of child based on scholastic and non scholastic areas. In fact the new system will do away the stress and pressure both on students and parents which hampers the development of children. The school has to change the mentality of teaching grade one student in such a way that he can be prepared for writing X board examination. Evaluating the children learning merely based on 3 hours examination has been limiting the very aim of education. Educationists are of the opinion that school board examinations are largely inappropriate for the knowledge society of the 21st century, it also led to rote learning and failed to test reasoning and analyzing skills of the children. Now the children assessment criteria are going to be quite comprehensive where all aspects of their learning would be taken care off. If a student is not performing well in acad...
