Problems of today’s youth

It is quite depressing to see that present day’s youth are engulfed with umpteen behavioral problems like stealing, fighting, bullying, teasing, being disobedient and getting involved in watching pornographic videos and movies and sharing the same through modern day’s electronic gadgets.

There have been number of factors responsible for this sorry behavior of our youths.

Firstly, due to advancement of technology everything is in the reach of our youths without any censorship from elders, society and government.

Secondly, both the parents have been involved in economic activities in the madness of accumulating wealth and thus spending less time with kids. They are unable to understand the problems of their own kids and put forward the solutions. Even if they are back from offices they are glued to satellite television or internet hardly spending any time for building a healthy and caring relationship between parents and kids. Even if there is any discussion on the dining table both of them discuss about their day spent in office or materialistic talk. In this way parent’s non involvement with kids have been a major factor for spoiling the life of our youth.

Lastly, globalization has led to erosion of our family culture or joint family system where kids were getting the space to fulfill their demands and emotions with grand parents or uncles or aunts at home. Now because of nuclear family our kids are missing the caring touch of elders.

    The problems you listed that bullying and teasing are common for a person between a age of 13-19 wheras about stealing and disobidience mentioned i think its not with all the teenagers but is really a thing to be felt sorry for.
    Nextly blaming the advancement of techonology i consider it totally wrong for blaming it, As blaming a computer for having some negative point would be totally wrong as it too have many good points on which we can switch on for eg.rather than joining facebook one can switch on some othewr useful material ,for eg.I am able to share the views of mine with you which is possible only with the advancement of techonology....so therefore commenting any thing about mordern tech i think is very inappropriate
    Considering the concept of nuclear family and joint family can be a factor of YOUTH misbehaviour but to some extent it also enhances the feeling and a boost in emotions which can only be devoloped by staying far as "ONE ONLY REALISES THE IMPORTANCE OF SOMEONE WHEN HE DOESNT HAVE IT ANYMORE"so all in whole there are other factors which are responsible for a youth disorder which INSHALLAH I DAWOOD a youth will be notifying about in my next comment .......do answer my view AS SOON AS POSSIBLE...don't you agree it...???????

    Dawood i really appreciate your comments,infact my purpose of putting up blog is to exchange of ideas between students and teachers and bridge the gap.I hope you will invite other like minded students to join it and share their ideas as well
    I do agree that information technology has GREAT benefits but there should be a parental control on the use of it.Whether teenagers using it for productive purpose or otherwise.
    As far as other objection is concerned i think you also share the belief of modernist where one is staying away from his/her near relatives i seanrch of living a lavish and cosy life which i doubt about.
    When we are with our grand parents they tell us the purpose of life, family values, respect for elders and so on.In the last 3 years of my stay in Jeddah i came across many parents which are baffling or cribbing about their decisions of coming abroad and leaving behind cherished memories of family touch.And they also share the opinion that they dont have time to mend the ways of their kids.I firmly believe by settling down as a nuclear family we are looing a lot than enjoying gains from it.

    Salam Sir,
    I second with most of you views but I really don't think that Advancement of Technology has affected the Youth on a large scale.Anything available in the world has 2 sides.The positive and negative side.IF we go with the positive side then It will enrich us and also help us but If we go with the negative side then it may lead distract us from the right path....
